From Portlaoise head for Abbeyleix on the main Dublin to Cork road. Take a left at the traffic lights in Abbeyleix then second right for Ballinakill. Drive through Ballinakill take a left before dowtown pub then straight on for three miles. Sand pit is on the left hand side.
